Nicolas Kallas, CPA has over 20 years experience in taxation, and is the owner of Top Shelf Tax Pros. He specializes in tax preparation for individuals, including the preparation and filing of all federal, state and local tax returns as well as business, corporate, and partnerships returns. In addition, he represents clients before the IRS at the Examination and Appeals level.

Anthony Gawel brings over 35 years of accounting and tax preparation experience to our team of tax professionals. During this time he has specialized in the preparation of individual and business tax returns, including tax planning for clients he has worked with.
He has earned his Enrolled Agent status with the Internal Revenue Service, passing all three parts of the Special Enrollment Examination on his first try. Enrolled agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards. Individuals who obtain this elite status must adhere to ethical standards and complete 72 hours of continuing education courses every three years. He is also a member of the Independent Accountants Association of Michigan.

Carmen Harper has been an accountant for 8 years and has provided business and personal tax services for 6 years. Carmen’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Accounting obtained from Wayne State University and a Master in Taxation obtained from Walsh College. Carmen also specializes in assisting with IRS resolutions and is recognized by the IRS as an official tax preparer through their Annual Filing Season Program.

Daniel Wilson has been an accountant for 16 years, and has worked with numerous business owners across the Metro Detroit area. Prior to that, he spent many years in sales management. Daniel's academic background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, as well as a Master of Science in Finance, both from Walsh College, plus he was top of his class in the income tax course he attended. He prides himself on his particular attention to detail and accuracy with the clients he works with.

James Humenik, Jr, has 37 years of experience in the Accounting and Tax Industry. He has prepared over 3,000 various types of tax forms each year, ranging from Personal, Corporate, Partnership, Personal Property, Michigan and other state income taxes, including various City income tax returns. His expertise goes well beyond taxes and extends to other industries too.
He is officially recognized by the IRS as an official tax preparer and corresponds with Federal and State Governmental Authorities daily.
He enjoys family time, traveling, motorcycling, hunting, and being outdoors and look forward to servicing your tax needs, whatever they may be.
